The Real Housewives of New York City star Sai De Silva recently sat down for an interview where she talked about a breadth of topics.
These included her divorce from David Craig, her thoughts on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Dorit Kemsley, her reaction to Summer House star West Wilson‘s nude photos leaking, and more.
Sai spoke out on Page Six Radio, sharing that she didn’t know her divorce was going to go public in the manner it did.
“I’m in a really good place now,” she said, updating fans on how she’s doing. “I think at first I was a little shaken up and — and a little bit upset. I respect David so much, you know? That’s somebody I’ve been with for 17 years. He’s the father of my kids. I never want this to be seen in a way like, ‘I can’t stand him, and we’re so angry with each other.'”
Sai hinted at what went wrong, noting that if “you don’t grow together, you grow apart, and it’s really hard to glue it back once you’ve grown apart.”
Due to her going through a divorce publicly, she explained her understanding of what Dorit is going through.
“I want to be a little bit empathetic with… Dorit because, as someone who I think everybody knows I’m also going through a divorce, it’s like… things change… especially between you and a spouse who you love so much… things are going completely different. Your emotions are involved, and you are charged, and sometimes in those moments, you can become a different person.”
“So, she probably has a lot weighing on her,” she continued. “But, for the most part, I understand like friends on the outside trying to give you some positive advice, or just trying to say like, ‘Look, we’re looking out for you, we’re a little bit concerned,’ kind of vibe… but she’s not on the other side to kind of accept that… long story short, I would love if they all were just like, have a Kumbaya moment and just become friends again, but I am watching.”
The topic of West’s nude pics came up at one point in the conversation, to which Sai seemed shocked his “meat mail” had been released.
“I’m Ciara‘s fan, and… I wish her the best, and I love to see her glow up right now,” she continued, addressing the Summer House scandal. “Like, she’s everywhere, well-deserved. And she’s also stunning on the eyes. I can’t stop looking at her. Her body’s tea.”
Finally, the topic of Hailey Glassman, who is going to be on RHONY, came up.
“She’s cool,” Sai said of her co-star. “I promise you. Like, I’m not going to steer you wrong… She has something about her that is so endearing and sweet, and there is absolutely no ill intent, and I cannot wait for everyone to see… what actually happens.”
She later added Hailey is “kind.”
