After being hit with a revenge porn charge, Real Housewives of Orange County alum Kelly Dodd appeared in court.
Specifically, Kelly was charged with intentionally distributing or causing to be distributed the image of a person’s intimate body part and making telephone calls with the intent to annoy. She was also charged with battery in a separate incident with a different individual.
According to TMZ, Kelly pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Kelly told the outlet the claims against her are “absurd” and “insane,” and she insisted a family member is behind the allegations.
“It’s an absolute joke that prosecutors are pursuing this case instead of going after real criminals with real victims,” she elaborated. “We can’t go into detail on the case because of this afternoon’s court appearance.”
The outlet also caught Kelly and her attorney walking into court.
When asked what she thinks about the charges and what’s going on, Kelly directed the reporter to ask her lawyer.
“Well, they’ve filed charges, and ultimately, Kelly’s not going to plead to anything,” he shared. “She’s not going to be found guilty of anything, and I’m confident they’ll all be dismissed and done.”
Kelly also shared a video on social media of herself outside the courtroom.
“So I’m outside, and, uh, the courthouse right now, and I might be serving jail time,” she said. “That’s for my brother Eric, who’s a complete and utter retard. But that’s neither here nor there. I have Cameron Kelly as my lawyer, okay? Google him. I only get the best of the best, bro. And you know what? I did nothing wrong. So we’ll see when I get vindicated! Yeah! Let’s go! Excited!”
In another report from Us Weekly, a source claimed the ordeal has been “a nightmare” for Kelly’s mother, Bobbi Meza, and that Kelly’s family has “cut her off.”
They noted Kelly’s extended family doesn’t want to engage with her unless she agrees to get professional help or an intervention, and that Bobbi, who recently had a stroke, is finding the situation traumatic.
“[Kelly] self-sabotages,” they said, noting her family doesn’t believe she’s taking the severity of her legal issues seriously.
In the initial report from TMZ about Kelly’s charge, prosecutors claimed Kelly shared footage of a female masturbating and having sex without the woman’s consent.
In the legal docs they obtained, it stated Kelly “unlawfully and intentionally” distributed images of a Jane Doe partaking in sexual activity.
The revenge porn was reportedly shared on or around August 29, 2025, and the woman in the photos alleged she suffered “severe emotional distress” from the situation.
It was also alleged that Kelly took the photos without the other woman’s consent, where she had a reasonable expectation of privacy, with prosecutors specifically stating Kelly and the female in question had agreed to keep the pics private.
Around the same time, prosecutors claimed that Kelly contacted the Jane Doe and threatened to injure her, her family, and her property.
Kelly is facing three misdemeanor charges and potential jail time.
