A Secret Lives of Mormon Wives producer shared that both Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen are allowed to come back to the show despite their protective orders, as a source revealed that production is only filming confessionals for season five.

Back in March, production was halted on season five amid domestic violence investigations concerning Taylor and her ex, Dakota. At the time, castmates reportedly weren’t comfortable filming with Taylor.

At the time, Dakota filed a restraining order against Taylor, accusing her of abuse. Weeks later, Taylor filed her own. Last month, SLOMW resumed filming without Taylor and Dakota, but a source eventually shared that Taylor was welcome back when she’s ready.

In a new interview with Variety, producer Jeff Jenkins shared that both Taylor and Dakota are allowed to come back for filming despite their respective restraining orders.

“I’ve talked to Taylor, and she wants to come back, and I want her to come back,” stated Jeff, who said he’s “hopeful” she’ll return — and compared her to Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton.

“Taylor Frankie Paul has that thing, like her two predecessors do, where she’s just made for this,” he explained, via PEOPLE. “To share her life on camera, she does it like breathing air. She doesn’t edit herself. She’s really built for this type of lane.”

But Jeff clarified that she and Dakota can’t film together while they have restraining orders.

“But I’m very hopeful that we’ll be shooting with both of them or either of them very soon,” he added.

Around the same time, a source told PEOPLE that the cast is indeed filming again, but only confessionals.

“Right now, they’re just filming confessionals for season 5,” the insider shared. “They’ve decided they’re not going to film the rest of season 5, but apparently they’re still going to film season 6.”

According to the source, season five will only contain the five episodes that were filmed before the production pause. As of now, Taylor’s season of The Bachelorette is still up in the air, though a source recently claimed that it may air this summer on Hulu.

The first four seasons of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives are streaming on Hulu.
