Gia Giudice blasted Bethenny Frankel over her treatment of Dina Manzo’s daughter, Lexi Ioannou. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star called Bethenny’s behavior “crazy” and “weird.”
A few weeks ago, Lexi said she sent Bethenny a pair of shoes from her Nou brand — and that Bethenny tagged a dupe to try to get commission. In response, Bethenny called Lexi a crybaby and claimed she’s not a real businessperson.
On Casual Chaos, Gia revealed that she still has a relationship with Lexi, whose mom was friends with Gia’s mother, Teresa Giudice.
“I do have a relationship with her. I am so proud of her. I have [her] new shoes. And I did see all the backlash about what Bethenny Frankel was doing, and I did not appreciate it,” said Gia. “Just say where your shoes are from.”
Gia added, “Lexi is so Dina-coded. And she is obviously my aunt Dina’s daughter. And it is just so funny the way that she responded back and was like, ‘Excuse me. … Now I don’t like you. I used to look up to you, but now I don’t like you.'”
She called it “weird” that Bethenny didn’t “give the girl credit.”
“[Lexi’s a] young entrepreneur. I mean, God bless her. They’re becoming wildly successful, and the brand is evolving, but just give her the credit,” she continued. “Just give the girl some credit … help her grow her business.”
She then called Bethenny out for linking to another shoe brand.
“It’s crazy behavior,” said Gia. “And then to insult the shoes. Come on. Lexi puts in the work. They’re handmade from Portugal.”
In her Instagram video last month, Lexi addressed the situation with Bethenny.
“Bethenny Frankel is a weirdo,” said Lexi at the time. “I sent her a pair of shoes, from Nou, almost a year ago because I look up to her. Female entrepreneur, Bravo universe like me, and she’s been on Shark Tank.”
The star added, “She didn’t tag us after wearing the shoes multiple times online, which, okay, that happens. But then today she posted a video that’s going viral and a bunch of people are asking where the shoes are [from]. And instead of linking them, she linked a dupe and with an affiliate link.”
