Luke Broderick said he would’ve told Lala Kent to “piss off” if she had “butted in” to a fight with his wife Kristen Doute like she did with Nia Sanchez and Danny Booko. He also reacted to Lala’s claim that he and Kristen have an “alliance” with them.

In a recent episode of The Valley, Danny – who had been drinking – spoke disrespectfully to Nia as she was trying to help him during a ‘drag pageant.’ Lala stepped in and confronted him, and Danny apologized the next day. In the next episode, Lala suggested to Kristen that a true friend would call Danny out for his behavior.

On Virtual Reali-Tea, Luke was asked about Nia and Danny’s relationship.

“We look at them as having a pretty healthy relationship aside from what you’ve been seeing [lately],” said Luke, via @vanderpodrecaps on Instagram. “Having one kid is stressful. I can’t imagine having four under four. … It blows my mind to even imagine having to live in that world.”

But Luke clarified that he’s “not making excuses” for Danny, who was an “a**hole” in that moment.

“I don’t feel like the heat on Danny from the group of people that have put heat on him for the last year and a half ever lets up,” he added. “Regardless of his behavior, that heat stays on him [throughout the season].”

As for Jax Taylor’s past claim that fans would eventually see the dark side of Danny, Luke expressed, “Sure, a broken clock is right twice a day, so.”

He then addressed Lala’s suggestion that he and Kristen have an alliance with Nia and Danny rather than a true friendship.

“Kristen and I have spent 100 to 1000 times more time with Danny and Nia than Lala has. So her statement carries a lot less weight than our experience with them,” he said. “… I even told Kristen, I said if we were having a little fight and Lala came and butted in, I would have told her to piss off because she’s not part of this relationship. That’s how I feel.”

But Luke admitted that Nia and Danny have issues, like any couple.

“Everyone has issues. Kristen and I have issues. Anyone that looks perfect on camera absolutely has issues in the closet,” he said. “So their closet doors just got knocked open is what I think. Danny and Nia are both great people. They’re great parents. And what’s been on display is definitely not their best. Not Danny’s best. Nia’s always lovely.”
