Brittany Cartwright clapped back at Jesse Lally’s “ridiculous” accusation, and she revealed she’s on a “weight-loss shot” as she shared more details about her recent surgery. The star also teased the new show she filmed for Amazon Prime, Reality Retreat.
On the new season of The Valley, Brittany opened up about her ‘mommy makeover.’ Around the same time, Jesse accused her of helping her ex, Jax Taylor, in his campaign to take down Danny Booko last season. He insinuated that Brittany stirs drama behind the scenes while pretending she isn’t involved.
On When Reality Hits, Brittany addressed the new show she filmed for.
“The new reality TV show that I’m going to be on with Amazon Prime was finally announced. It was amazing and so much fun to film,” she said, via @vanderpodrecaps on Instagram. “We went to the Dominican Republic and filmed there, and it was like a wellness retreat with me and a bunch of other reality TV personalities, all women, so much fun.”
“We learned so much about ourselves. We laughed, we cried, we loved. It was amazing to hear everybody else’s stories and really get to know people who deal with a lot of the same things from being on reality TV, but also have very different backgrounds and very different stories,” she added. “I already know the show was going to be awesome. It was a blast to film. I cannot wait for you guys to see it.”
Later on, Brittany was asked why she chose the recent surgery instead of weight loss shots.
“Okay, I’m on the weight-loss shot now,” she said. “I do Join Friday. I’m losing weight, and it’s been working amazing. So I’m not against a shot by any means. But whenever it came to my surgery, there were many reasons why I chose [that].”
“First, I had a lot of loose skin and stretch marks below my belly that I was very uncomfortable with because of the way I was treated and talked to … for a long time about them,” she said, seemingly referring to Jax’s past comments about her body after having their child. “[Also] I had diastasis recti where your abs split, your stomach muscles split … and it does not go back on its own. I mean, with working out and everything, you could never get it 100% back. So not only did I have a tummy tuck and my boobs done and lipo and all that stuff, I also had full abdominal reconstruction. … And that happens to a lot of women.”
She then addressed Jesse’s claim that she assisted in Jax’s campaign to take down Danny in season two.
“That was ridiculous,” she said. “Everyone who knows me knows I don’t do any of the sort. … I’m going to talk about [it] on the reunion. I can’t wait for you guys to see more of my side. But trust me, apologies are given, and things will happen in the future. So just stay tuned. … If you actually know me, I am not a s**t stirrer. I don’t even talk bad about my friends.”
“I mean, the worst thing I said was, ‘Oh, somebody was hiding from the cameras and not showing that they were in a fight,’” she said, referring to her comment last season that Danny and Nia Sanchez weren’t being honest about their relationship. “That’s the worst thing I’ve ever said about anybody. … Just because people say certain things, doesn’t make it true, and you will see where that goes very soon.”
