After initially being shelved, it appears that ABC is gearing up to finally air Taylor Frankie Paul‘s season of The Bachelorette.
Back in March, the network pulled the plug on the show following domestic violence accusations. Specifically, after a video surfaced of Taylor nearly hitting her daughter with a chair she had thrown at her ex, Dakota Mortensen, it was decided the show would not air.
On March 19, in a statement to TMZ, a spokesperson for Disney Entertainment, the parent company of ABC, said, “In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of ‘The Bachelorette’ at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family.”
Now, according to a new report from TMZ, Taylor’s season may finally see the light of day.
While production sources told the outlet final plans have not been made, they insisted there is discussion to finally air the show starting in mid-July.
The insiders noted that, after the show was axed, editors were still working on cutting the episodes, which they noted was a sign that ABC wanted to leave the possibility of it eventually premiering on the table.
In the video that initially got the show canceled, Dakota, who shares a two-year-old son, Ever, with Taylor, attempted to get away from an attack from her as he felt it was “physical abuse.”
“See, Taylor, this is all you do,” he said as Taylor kicked and hit him. “It’s the only thing you know how to do is hurt me. Hon, you think this is okay? It’s not okay.”
After she insisted she doesn’t “give a f*ck,” Taylor grabbed a nearby chair and attempted to hit Dakota with it, even though her young daughter was sitting on a couch nearby.
“Your daughter is right here,” Dakota told her.
Taylor’s daughter began to cry, leading Dakota to tell her, “That is it! No more! You’re done. Please, stop.”
“I’m done taking the blame for you,” he added, as she told him to “get the f*ck out.”
