The Valley star Nia Sanchez recently sat down for an interview in which she revealed her husband, Danny Booko, has received death threats after fans got upset with his behavior on the show.
What’s more, some went as far as to suggest he take his own life.
Speaking to US Weekly, Nia claimed they “see the comments” and “see the DMs.”
“Honestly, it makes me wonder what’s wrong with people because he’s gotten death threats,” she claimed. “He has told people — or people have told him—’You should just like, you know, go in the back and take yourself out so that your kids and wife can be happier.'”
“That is so heartbreaking to me that that is like what people feel comfortable saying to another human being,” she continued.
Nia went on to note that the comments do affect Danny, but he’s “so intentional with his headspace.”
“I’m so grateful for that because while those ones really do affect him and get him down, he starts every day fresh,” she elaborated. “He takes care of his mental health — like physically with working out, and like prayer, and like meditation — and so he’s really intentional to be in a good head space for our family.”
“But it does — it does affect him,” she reiterated.
Amid fans taking issue with how he treated Nia, Danny issued a public apology last month.
Taking to his Instagram Story, he noted he’s “so sorry” to the person he loves “most,” his “beautiful wife.”
“Watching these last few episodes back hasn’t been easy,” he said. “It was a difficult season of life and a version of myself that I’m embarrassed by and not proud of. A short fuse, stress, alcohol, and lack of sleep are never a good combination, but that’s not an excuse. I should never have taken any of it out on you.”
Danny added that “balancing parenthood and life can stretch you in ways you don’t fully realize until you see yourself through a different lens.”

“I love, honor, and respect you deeply,” he insisted, “and I did not show that in some of these moments.”
“Nia, I love you so much,” Danny concluded. “I’m grateful for you, our family, and this beautiful, chaotic life we’ve built together. I thank God for you every day.”
