The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Lisa Barlow opened up about her co-star Mary Cosby‘s son Robert Cosby Jr.‘s tragic death in a recent interview.

Robert Jr. tragically passed away in February of this year at the age of 23 following his years-long battle with addiction. His death occurred just days before RHOSLC season seven was set to begin filming.

“I think it was the hardest thing to experience,” Lisa began.

“I mean, it’s a bonding moment for sure, but having Mary lose her son literally the night before we started filming. The night before, and it was, you know, I just cried all night and, you know, Mary’s handled things so incredibly well,” she continued on SiriusXM’s Reality Checked. “I think when you have such a strong relationship with God, it can get you through anything.”

Lisa noted the service for Robert Jr. was “probably the most beautiful experience.”

“Experiencing Robert Sr. in that capacity, Mary, and like, you know, being there with her through that, I think, was so bonding, and yeah,” she added. “It was the most devastating thing that could ever happen to a mother.”

During the interview, Lisa also touched on her time on The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th.

“I had met everyone before the trip,” Lisa began sharing about her co-stars. “So, I knew that I’m like, ‘Okay, I like everyone that’s going.’ And when I found out who was hosting in each city, too, I was like, ‘Okay, I vibe with them, too. That’s, like, very important.’ And so I was excited about the whole trip. The only thing that wasn’t exciting is when I found out who was dropping in in the different cities because I’m like, ‘Oh, that’s gonna change dynamics.'”

When asked if there was anyone she was not excited about seeing through the cities, Lisa noted she was “hoping for the best” but that her “expectations were validated.”

“I mean, you’re going to see really soon, but it literally, it’s like, you know, par for course,” she added.

Lisa also claimed the tension with the unnamed person, who appears to be from the RHOSLC cast, “surfaces a little” in the upcoming seventh season of the show.

But as a Sag, I try to move forward always,” Lisa said. “I like to keep things moving. You guys get that.”

Speaking of her cast, Lisa was also asked if viewers will see Bronwyn Newport‘s exTodd Bradley, this season.

“You know what? I’ll answer it like this,” Lisa replied. “I don’t pay any attention. So, I don’t, if he was there, I wouldn’t pay attention. And if he wasn’t there, I wouldn’t.”

The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th premieres August 9 at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
