Emira D’Spain claimed that Gia Giudice and Ariana Biermann were thrown into the cast of Next Gen NYC at the “last minute” – as other castmates were “kicked off.” She also revealed which costars she thinks are hiding on camera, and she shared where she stands with Ava Dash.
In the new season, Emira found herself at odds with castmates as she maintained her friendship with Charlie Zakkour, who allegedly had ties to people involved in a crypto torture scandal. Some of the castmates of the show, including Gia and Ariana, are the children of Real Housewives.
On Page Six Radio, Emira shared that Gia and Ariana were thrown into the cast at the “last minute” – and other castmates were therefore “kicked off.”
“I think it was the kicking off of the other people that made everybody annoyed,” she said. “Brooks Marks and Riley Burruss were already on.”
“I had no problem with [Ariana and Gia] coming on the show, obviously. They’re great. But I was apprehensive at first,” she explained. “I talked about this [with Gia, how] I was nervous because I was like, ‘Oh my gosh. They have all these headlines around them. Is this going to make the show more scandalous? Is this going to turn into something that we don’t want it to?'”
But Emira said she “checked” herself.
“I’m no person to judge. Who am I? These people are not their parents,” she said. “They have completely different lives. They’re honestly really different, and they’re now some of my closest friends.”
At one point on the radio show, Emira said certain castmates aren’t being themselves on camera.
“Don’t let the world, comments, press, or whatever mold you into something you’re not … just because you want a good edit or you want longevity on a network,” she said. “Just be yourself and live your life. … So many times people try to warp themselves. Even some of the people in our cast … warp themselves to fit in these boxes so they can be palatable.”
She said Shai Fruchter might be hiding a little on camera.
“He’s so funny, and he’s such a caring, good friend,” she said. “Him and I have gotten a lot closer after we wrapped filming, because I was a little shady to him later on. You’ll see. Now I feel like we’ve bonded, and I see this real side of him. And I’m like, ‘Why are you not like this on camera?'”
Though Emira is in a “good” place with Ava, she thinks her costar is “trying to mold herself” into what the “world wants” instead of “being herself.”
“I’ve known her for a really long time, and she’s such a great girl,” she said. “She’s the most funny, outgoing, and I feel like she’s trying to make herself so palatable to the world. I’m like, ‘Just be yourself, babe.'”
