Georgia McCann revealed her breakup with boyfriend Prez Thomas, shared why it happened and hinted at their arguments – as castmate Gia Giudice reacted.
After last season of Next Gen NYC, Georgia and her then-boyfriend Omar Zaki called it quits. In the current season, she introduced her new boyfriend Prez, the chief marketing officer at FactMachine, a betting platform that’s opinion-based.
“Prez and I broke up,” said Georgia on the July 20 episode of Casual Chaos with Gia Giudice, via @vanderpodrecaps on Instagram. “Like literally last night.”
“Oh my God, wait, I’m so sorry,” said Gia.
“We had been kind of talking about it for a minute, so it wasn’t out of the blue. I was literally crying all day yesterday,” Georgia added.
“I feel like you guys had like a really deep connection,” said Gia.
“I think we did,” said Georgia. “But this is the first time in my adult life I’ve been in a relationship and we love each other, we adore each other, he’s one of my favorite people I’ve ever met my entire life, but we’re not compatible.”
According to Georgia, how they each wanted to “show up” for the relationship was “very, very different.”
“And we were starting to fight about that,” she explained. “And it was sort of one of those things where it’s like, okay, I honestly just didn’t think … he’s ready to kind of show up in a relationship in the way I need. And that might change maybe when he’s in his 30s, or maybe when work isn’t as crazy or something, but … it was making both of us unhappy.”
“As much as we love spending time with each other … we [still] knew something was not working,” she continued. “But we’re still good friends, for now at least, until he gets a girlfriend or literally goes on a date with anyone [and then] I’m freaking out.”
Gia agreed that when one of them starts seeing someone, it will be “the tip of the iceberg.”
“Yes,” said Georgia. “Because [I know] theoretically [that the split] is a good thing, it’s healthy for us. We love each other, but whatever, the idea of him seeing someone else … makes me sick.”
