Leah Kateb revealed the real reason JaNa Craig can’t share her ex Kenny Rodriguez’s texts. The star also gave insight into her own experience on Love Island USA, and she addressed where she stands with Rob Rausch (after their rocky relationship on the show).
Last year, JaNa allegedly discovered text messages from her then-boyfriend Kenny, saying he was “faking” their relationship and doesn’t “like black women.” In a recent interview, Kenny alleged that his real issue with JaNa was the way she treated him, as he suggested that fans aren’t aware of the full truth.
On the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, Leah reacted to Kenny’s recent interview.
“He’s, like, such a loser,” said Leah, via @bravobravobravobri on Instagram. “When he said God sees, God knows the truth … I’m like, ooh, if only people knew the things he said and the things he did. I can’t believe he’s bringing God into it.”
Leah was then asked why JaNa can’t put him on blast.
“She can’t because … legally she’s not allowed to because … it’s not like he sent her the messages,” she answered. “She got them. … Like, she went through his phone. So, like, legally you can’t post it.”
“Also, JaNa is just such a sweet person,” she went on. “[Kenny is] just a stupid piece of s**t. … He’s just lying. Literally lying.”
Leah said she never liked Kenny, and JaNa knew this.
“[I] thought he was weird,” she said. “And not in like a personality type of way, in like his intentions. … Like you could kind of see certain things.”
When asked if Leah thinks he didn’t actually have feelings for JaNa, Leah answered, “Yeah, it’s all in the text. … There was a lot of bad stuff.”
“[JaNa is now] thriving,” Leah added. “She was on a shoot while all this was happening. So she’s good. I’m very proud of her.”
At one point, Leah shared insight into her own time on Love Island.
“They would kind of say like, ‘If you pull X, Y, and Z right now, then we’ll do [this], we’ll give you two extra glasses of wine or something,'” said the star, who shared that she would do it because she wanted the wine.
Specifically, Leah said that she “pulled” her ex Rob for a chat when she “didn’t want to.”
“It was so much drama. And I just was like, I don’t want to talk to him. I don’t want to make it seem like I want him,” she said. “And they were like, ‘If you pull him, we’ll give you two glasses of wine.’ Now, looking back at it, I’m like, you stupid b**ch. Like, you should have just left it alone. … I think they were just trying to make it seem like I wanted Rob back.”
Leah then shared where she stands with him today.
“We hung out at that Universal thing and all of that,” she said. “Our whole season went to Universal. And then I think [that was the] last time … that we saw each other and spoke. … I just haven’t seen him. But, like, no, I don’t think it’s awkward. And … I don’t think he’s a bad person.”
