Nathan Gallagher spoke out amid his domestic violence charges. The Below Deck Mediterranean star said he “made mistakes,” but he claimed the public hasn’t heard the “full story.” Meanwhile, fellow castmate Hannah Ferrier cropped Nathan out of a recent photo: “F**k that guy.”
Last December, Nathan was arrested on charges of domestic violence in Australia. Earlier this month, Rolling Stone reported that he was accused of assaulting a 29-year-old woman in an apartment complex in the Sydney area. Per the New South Wales Police, he’s being accused of “assault occasioning actual bodily harm, intentionally chok[ing a] person without consent, and common assault.”
Nathan’s new statement seems to hint that the 29-year-old woman was his ex-girlfriend Gael Cameron (who reportedly has the Australian equivalent of a restraining order against him). There will be a September 1 hearing for the criminal charges. Gael is the mother of Nathan’s young son.
“I don’t believe the public has heard the full story surrounding what happened,” claimed Nathan in a statement given to Rolling Stone. “I understand [New South Wales] Police have confirmed my arrest in December 2025. What has been publicly reported, however, represents only one side of what was an extremely complicated situation.”
“I have contemporaneous video footage from the night in question, as well as messages and other records, which I believe provide important context and show events that have not been publicly reported,” he continued. “I am willing to provide the relevant footage so that you can make your own assessment of what it shows.”
Rolling Stone said they requested to review any footage, which Nathan said would show another perspective concerning the arrest, but the outlet didn’t get a response back.
“There are also other matters surrounding the relationship that I have never discussed publicly, including circumstances surrounding the breakdown of our relationship, previous allegations she made about a former partner, and financial matters relating to the purchase of an apartment in Sydney,” Nathan added in his statement. “I have retained documentation and communications relating to those matters as well.”
“I am not going to make accusations or release private documents on Instagram. I have kept the evidence and will deal with it through the appropriate channels. But I also don’t believe it is fair for one version of events to be presented publicly as though it is the complete story when there is evidence that may materially contradict or provide significant context to that account,” he said. “I’m not claiming I was perfect. I wasn’t. I made mistakes and I will take responsibility for my own actions. But I will not accept being portrayed solely through one person’s account of a relationship when there is another side and evidence relating to it.”
According to Nathan, his biggest concern is his son.
“One day he will be old enough to see everything that has been said about his parents, and I don’t want his childhood turned into a public battle,” he said. “My priority is being recognized as his father, establishing a relationship with him and ultimately finding a way for both of us to move forward and co-parent peacefully. I’m not looking for revenge, and not asking anyone to take my side. I simply want the opportunity for the other side to be heard and for the evidence to be considered.”
Around the same time, Hannah Ferrier cropped Nathan out of an Instagram photo with herself, Captain Sandy Yawn, and Gael in Croatia while filming the latest season.
