Recently, The Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador‘s behavior has been under scrutiny.
Patrick McDonald, a former producer for the show, recently went on Heather McDonald‘s podcast and discussed her.
During his conversation, Patrick accused Shannon, 62, of mistreating him and his crewmates and shared that she was protected by production.
He also backed the claims Joel Kim Booster, 38, had previously made against Shannon after filming Love Hotel.
In the wake of his revelations, multiple insiders spoke exclusively to Reality Blurb and had similar intel to share.
“No one on the RHOC cast is the least bit surprised about the information coming out about Shannon from producer Patrick McDonald,” a source shared. “It’s been a well-known fact that she’s difficult to work with and treats production in a less than stellar manner. And, frankly, it was obvious when Joel from Love Hotel spoke out against her and suddenly had to backpedal… he said what he said for a reason.”
“He didn’t just make it up out of thin air,” they continued. “Neither did Patrick. Neither of these men has any reason to speak negatively about Shannon just for clout. They are telling their truth and, again, the cast isn’t surprised.”
Another source claimed the RHOC cast “got a text message addressed from the showrunner last year” telling them “that treating the crew with disrespect is unacceptable.”
They insisted this text message was a direct result of Shannon’s alleged behavior.
In his conversation with Heather, Patrick stated, “[Katie Ginella] filmed one of her meltdowns. I was there that day and Shannon was going crazy. Who knows [why].”
On that front, an insider spilled to Reality Blurb that Shannon’s alleged behavior was “why Katie recorded her in the first place.”
“She was actually in shock that someone would treat people like that,” they added.
Another source claimed that information about Shannon’s alleged behavior is “nothing new.”
“She’s been given warnings from production before about the way she treats the crew,” they noted.
One source shared that perhaps Shannon “will finally take this and do some reflecting going forward and think about the words that are being said.”
“Everyone has the ability to grow, and change, and do better, and she could too,” they claimed.
Still, another feels like she is “not looking to change.”
Shannon has not yet publicly addressed any of the reports on her alleged behavior.
