Jeff Lewis shared the alleged reason Bravo isn’t taking legal action against ex-producer Patrick McDonald despite his recent comments about Shannon Beador. Jeff then recalled his own conversation about Bravo producers signing “NDAs.”
Earlier this year on the Juicy Scoop podcast, Patrick shared details of what Shannon allegedly did that wasn’t shown on Real Housewives of Orange County. He suggested she acted like a diva on set, as he accused her of having “meltdowns” and acting “crazy.”
On SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live, Jeff said he recently had a conversation about making Flipping Out‘s production crew sign “NDAs” amid Shannon’s issues with Patrick.
“[I stated that] if I do another season of this Flipping Out … I want that entire crew to sign NDAs,” Jeff recalled, via @sarah_from_texas_podcast_ on Instagram. “They said, ‘They do sign NDAs.’ I said, ‘[Then] what’s the problem? Why is this guy [Patrick] getting away with this?'”
“Allegedly, Bravo doesn’t want to get involved,” Jeff continued. “They don’t want the bad publicity. But in my mind, they’re not protecting their talent.”
Jeff seemed to be suggesting that Bravo should sue Patrick.
In August, Shannon reacted to the producer’s claims about her.
“There’s a producer who worked one season on our show, and it was season 18, which is when I had to film with [my ex-boyfriend’s wife] Alexis Bellino,” said Shannon at the time on Hate to Break It to Ya. “I was very withdrawn then. It was a very difficult season for me.”
Shannon was referring to the season of Alexis claiming to have access to footage that would ruin Shannon’s life. At the time, Alexis’ then-fiancé John Janssen (Shannon’s ex) was suing Shannon.
“This producer came out this week saying, ‘She would cuss at the crew.’ No, mister, I cooked you dinner and sent you home with a to-go pack,” Shannon added. “But he’s saying that I was horrible, that I’m miserable, I’m the most narcissistic person in the entire Bravo franchise.”
