Heather Dubrow called out castmates for “dragging” how she says ‘sangria’ while Vicki Gunvalson’s behavior is “excused.” The Real Housewives of Orange County star also shared the real reason she brought up Vicki’s claim that her husband Dr. Terry Dubrow has “inherited money.”
In the new season, Vicki slammed newbie Carmella Garcia in Las Vegas, insinuating that she wasn’t spending enough time with her children. In an earlier episode, Vicki also claimed she heard that Terry, a plastic surgeon, inherited money from relatives. But Heather confronted her about it, insinuating it wasn’t true.
On The Viall Files, Heather addressed Vicki’s behavior on the show.
“I mean, they really don’t even show a lot of what happened,” said Heather cryptically. “What’s frustrating for me is that Vicki will come on and say something outrageous or come late, leave early, whatever she does — and everyone goes, ‘that’s just Vicki.’ And that behavior is all just excused.”
“Vicki, as far as I’m concerned, mom-shamed Carmella when we were in Las Vegas. And you don’t see that dragging on for three episodes. But God forbid someone doesn’t like the way I pronounce ‘sangria.'”
Heather said her castmates acted like her pronunciation of the word was a “federal offense.” At one point in the podcast, Heather shared why she brought up Vicki’s claims that Terry has “inherited money.”
“[Terry] has never cared until Vicki started with this ‘inherited money’ thing. It’s the only reason I brought it up with Vicki, because he was so pissed about it. … Listen, I don’t need to give everyone our financial picture, but we’re just fine,” said Heather, smiling. “And I would love it if someone left us money. That would be great. As it turns out, the opposite is true. And we really take care of a lot of people, which we’re happy to do. But the point is, that activated him.”
Heather claimed Terry has “never been activated until that.”
“That struck a thing with him. He grew up in Van Nuys and had nothing. [He had] this plumber stepdad, mean stepdad. And [Terry] dug himself out and we’ve done okay.”
New episodes of The Real Housewives of Orange County air Thursday nights on Bravo.
