Season 7 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City recently began.
While it started off with an emotional gut punch due to the death of Mary Cosby‘s son, fans who have been following the news know that there will be a lot of drama surrounding relationships as well.
Specifically, it was revealed that Angie Katsanevas, 52, and Whitney Rose, 39, were splitting from their husbands before the season began airing.
Whitney recently appeared on the Gabbing With Gib podcast and spoke about Angie.
“What’s interesting is she and I get into it a bit throughout the season,” Whitney shared. “And I was really wondering what was going on with Angie, ’cause I’m like, ‘Why am I getting into it with my girl?’ So, what’s going on, you know? And so Angie and I actually didn’t know about each other until later in the season, but now that it’s all out and we’ve – we are there to support each other, it’s sad.”
“It’s unfortunate and it’s sad, but at the same time, I’m just grateful that we can relate to each other, because not very many people understand what it’s like to go through these life-changing moments on camera,” she continued.
As fans of the show know, Bronwyn Newport, 41, also separated from her husband.
“And so I’m just grateful that I have Angie and Bronwyn to lean on and to support, and, you know, to be there for them and for them to be there for me,” Whitney added.
As for where she and estranged husband Justin Rose stand, Whitney revealed they’re “nesting” right now.
“I don’t know if you’re familiar with what that is, but we share two homes, so the kids stay in the primary home, and Justin and I go back and forth while we’re figuring out how to dissolve our marriage,” she said.
While she admitted there are “ups and downs,” she divulged she’s “proud” that she and Justin have remained friends, are respectful of one another, co-parent well, and work together.
“We have some big announcements coming out very soon later this year with Wild Rose Beauty, and he’s helped me get there,” she noted.
“I mean, at the end of the day, what Justin and I have done is kept our eye on our goals. And just because our romantic life has come to an end, our marriage is coming to an end, we are still friends, we are still partners, and we will be a family forever,” she also shared. “I mean, that’s… since the cameras have been down, a lot of movement has happened, but the audience will be brought along the process, and you can see it was a very hard decision for me to make because I wanted to make sure I was making the right decision.”
When asked if she feels like she’s making the right decision now, Whitney replied, “Yes, absolutely,” and when she was specifically asked if she was ending her marriage to Justin, she said, “Yes.”
