Jeff Lewis said Andy Cohen’s SiriusXM contract was renewed “long before” it expired – despite Jeff’s lingering contract negotiation drama. He also addressed his and Andy’s “love/hate” relationship, as he hinted at “pauses” in their friendship.

Despite the popularity of Jeff’s SiriusXM show, Jeff Lewis Live (which airs on Andy’s Radio Andy channel), the Still Flipping Out star revealed that they’ve yet to renew his contract, and he’s willing to leave the satellite radio service to start his own podcast if they don’t work out the deal in the next few weeks, when the contract is up.

On SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live, Jeff shared more insight into his issue over the contract negotiations.

“I think what really upset me the most is that John [Hill] and Andy were approached long before the contract was up. And [their] deal was done long before the contract was up,” he said, via @sarah_from_texas_podcast_ on Instagram. “Shouldn’t you [also] have come to me much sooner? Because it makes me feel like I’m expendable.”

“Also, I don’t like the feeling of working for other people when they make you feel small and unimportant,” he added.

On the Not Skinny Not Fat podcast, Jeff addressed his “weird love/hate” relationship with Andy, even though they’re “good” for the time being.

Jeff was then asked about Andy’s comment last year about how, if he had to choose his own replacement, he would choose Jeff Lewis.

“That’s really a great compliment. I will tell you, he’ll never retire,” said Jeff. “I don’t think we’ve ever hated each other, but we have absolutely got on each other’s nerves. I’ve gone on his nerves more than he gets on my nerves.”

“He’s a little more sensitive than me. So it’s crazy because, you know, on his show, he’s joking, joking, joking, but he can get wounded,” Jeff explained. “He can take the jokes, not all the jokes. Like for me, people go low and I think it’s funny. You can’t go too low with him.”

Jeff admitted that he used to “test” Andy with his jokes.

“We’ve had so many — not falling out — but we’ve had so many pauses together that I don’t want to do that anymore,” Jeff added.
