Tamra Judge addressed the rumor that Real Housewives of Orange County is getting a “reboot” with herself and Heather Dubrow – as she reacted to Andy Cohen’s cryptic response to the reports. She also accused Emily Simpson and Gina Kirschenheiter of stirring “unnecessary drama.”
In the season finale, Jenn shared that Emily and Gina both hinted that Tamra befriended Jenn this season perhaps to get at Heather.
Recently, a fan asked Andy if the rumors about a RHOC reboot are true. (One report suggested that only Tamra, Heather and Gina will stay in the main cast, while Shannon will be demoted to a friend of.) Andy suggested that the show is getting a “refresh,” but he cryptically answered, “we’ll see,” when asked about a cast shakeup in the style of Real Housewives of New York.
“There’s been a lot of rumors about Orange County and casting and [how] it’s gonna be cast around me and Heather … [and] Gina and a friend,” she said on Two Ts in a Pod, via @mrhousewives on Instagram. “Another [rumor] is they’re putting us on pause, there’s gonna be a New Jersey [type] shakeup. There’s gonna be a reboot, so many rumors out there.”
“We’ve never heard any of that,” said Tamra, referring to the cast. “Nobody knows what the future is … but that’s not different than any other season. After every season, we have some downtime. And then after the first year, it will happen. Do I think that we need changes? Absolutely.”
She said “nobody” at Bravo is going to be “spreading a rumor” about the cast, before she addressed Andy’s recent cryptic answer.
“Because of the way that [Andy] answered … people are like, ‘Oh that means it’s happening. That means it’s happening.’ It [really] just means we’re not talking about it. That’s what it means,” she said.
Around the same time, Tamra addressed a fan on Instagram who wrote, “I’m still trying to understand Emily and Gina trying to accuse you of something with Heather — make it make sense.”
Tamra responded, “You and me both. Made zero sense at all. Unnecessary drama.”
