Kristen Doute’s fiancé, Luke Broderick, revealed why he repeated the Michelle Saniei billionaire rumor on The Valley, and he hinted at where he stands with Lala Kent and Scheana Shay. The 34-year-old also shaded producer Lisa Vanderpump, and he accused Janet Caperna of infiltrating the group as a fan.
During the last season, castmate Danny Booko told Luke that Jesse Lally accused his ex, Michelle, of sleeping with a billionaire for $1,500 a night. Luke then shared the rumor with co-stars, who relayed it back to Michelle. Chaos ensued.
On Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast, Luke said he doesn’t think the rumor is “believable” because $1,500 is so low.
He then addressed why he shared it.
“[My friends] want to know the tea, and the tea was spilled all over my lap,” he said. “I don’t want to hold that. I don’t want to keep it in my pocket … It’s going to come out eventually, you know, and it may come back to bite me more if I don’t get it out sooner.”
But Luke suggested that Jesse might believe it’s true.
As for Lala and Scheana’s appearances in the new season, Luke said he didn’t vibe with them. He added that Scheana and Kristen are “okay,” depending “on the hour,” although “more … things are popping up” between them.
Luke alleged that Scheana, Lala, Janet, and Michelle are acting like they’ve been “friends forever,” when in reality they started hanging out all the time about a year ago.
He then suggested that Janet infiltrated her way into the group as a fan.
“You have to give her credit,” he said. “How many people can pull that off? … [When] I was introduced to Janet [with the group], I thought something seemed a little bit weird … Something just seemed a little bit off about Janet. I don’t remember what I asked Kristen, but she’s like, ‘Well, she’s a fan. She started off as a fan. She like loves Vanderpump and all this stuff.’ And I’m like, ‘Okay, I guess that might explain some things.'”
“[She was] starstruck,” he said. “[And] there was something, I guess an uncomfortability [in] being around all these people that she loved watching on TV.”
Regarding Lisa’s SUR restaurant, Luke said he ate there only once, and he was “not impressed with the food.” He also shared that when he first met Lisa, she “scowled.”
As for his shirtless argument with Kristen in the season two trailer, Luke hinted that he wasn’t the most “emotionally stable” at the time, as it took place the “day before” he proposed.
“And alcohol didn’t help,” Luke added.
