The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City recently premiered its sixth season, and Lisa Barlow has been a hot topic. Now, she’s opening up about her lawsuits after Bronwyn Newport helped make them a point of discussion in the first two episodes of the season. Additionally, she’s discussing her friendship with Heather Gay

As fans know, Lisa, 50, wasn’t in the first episode of the season, except for appearing on a FaceTime call. However, in her absence, the ladies brought up her multiple lawsuits, leading Angie Katsanevas, 51, to even compare her to Jen Shah, 51, before quickly realizing she made a mistake.

Lisa recently appeared on Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast for an interview. One of the questions concerned Bronwyn, 40, mentioning the lawsuits against her company. Lisa said, “I think it’s… she acted like we have five lawsuits right now.”

The RHOSLC OG continued, “Yes, we’ve been sued. Yes, we’ve been in business for a very long time. We own multiple businesses. That’s just part of doing business. I’m not afraid of it. I never thought to be like, ‘Oh my gosh, guess what, guys? I’m being sued.'”

Lisa went on to say that if the ladies had asked her about the situation, she would have told them. She then said, “It’s not a big deal. They’re all dismissed. There’s one that’s pending that we think is gonna go that way because, yeah, I don’t want to say too much, but it’s lack of evidentiary support.”

The hosts of the podcast then noted that Lisa seemed “unbothered.” She said in response, “I am unbothered because it was like, it’s just the cost of doing business. We have a lot of lawyers on retainer. There’s a big difference between a civil lawsuit, which you can like allege anything, sometimes truthful things, sometimes not truthful things, and that’s why we have good lawyers on retainer.”

She added, “I’m not nervous about it. It was really funny to me. I was like, ‘Wait, what?’ This is like your boom? This is like your big what? It was weird to me.” Lisa also said they “cross their T’s and dot their I’s” and that they are federally regulated. She also questioned why “nobody said anything” when she sold a business. Lisa then stated that she supports all the ladies and doesn’t discuss their companies or their marriages.

Elsewhere in the interview, the topic of Heather, 51, came up. The hosts mentioned that previews for the show reveal she will be having issues with Heather later in the season. Lisa said, “I was disappointed by that.” One of the hosts asked how their rift happened and noted how Heather defended her in the premiere episode.

“That’s the first time I’ve had anyone defend me in six years, and I was like watching it and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, those are my friends and this is amazing,'” Lisa said.

She went on, “And I don’t know where things changed, but they definitely changed, and it’s different, and it’s hurtful.”

She was then asked if her friendship with Heather had changed because of who she is getting closer to. “No, I thought Heather and I were like great, and I was surprised by a few things that you’ll see, and maybe [it] will surprise you too,” Lisa responded.

RHOSLC airs on Tuesday nights.
