Real Housewives of Orange County alum Lynne Curtin shared more details on the infamous ‘Naked Wasted’ dinner party, addressed the rumor that Gretchen Rossi was “drugged,” and shared how things would be different if she returned to the show.
Lynne was a main cast member on seasons four and five, as she maintained peace with most of her co-stars. At the time, she rarely spoke negatively about anyone. Next year will mark the show’s historic 20th season.
In the current season, a rumor surfaced alleging that Gretchen claimed that Tamra Judge, who initially made the comment about getting her ‘naked wasted,’ drugged her. Gretchen denied she ever said it.
On Vicki Gunvalson’s My Friend, My Soulmate, My Podcast, Lynne shared that she’s spoken to Tamra about the controversy.
“I talked to Tamra. I was like, ‘Are you okay?'” said Lynne. “It’s a lot, the whole thing. I was there at the ‘naked wasted’ party … Yes, [Gretchen] did do drugs. You know why? Cause alcohol is a drug … She was drugged. She drugged herself, though. She decided to do that.”
“But nobody drugged her, that I saw,” said Vicki, who was also at the party.
Lynne then addressed how she was trying to get her to stop drinking, and how she tried to call Gretchen the next day to check on her.
“[I wanted] to take her home [that night] … Frank and I were sober, we’ll give you a ride home,” Lynne recalled. “[Gretchen] spent the night [at Tamra’s].”
“I didn’t know that,” said Vicki.
“It’s just so ancient history, you guys,” Lynne added. “We have to move [on]. I mean, really, it’s like, why can’t they all just get along and be happy? It used to be so much fun.”
Lynne accused the current cast of having “manufactured drama.”
“It’s manufactured drama at this point right now,” she said. “Nobody acts like that, none of my girlfriends act like that. We’re all happy and fun.”
Lynne was then asked if she would be nervous entering this environment again.
“You know what, my mom was still alive [when I filmed before], and I couldn’t say the C-word or the whatever word,” she answered. “I was kind of guarded because it’s like, ‘I have to be a lady.’ … [Now] I would give them a little more piece of my mind.”
