Mary Cosby appeared on Tuesday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live, where she offered an update on her son, Robert Cosby Jr., who recently admitted to suffering a relapse on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.
As she also reacted to Lisa Barlow‘s drama with the cast, her poster board presentation about her lawsuits, and Jared Osmond‘s latest DM, Mary, 52, revealed her thoughts on Jared’s on-and-off romance with Britani Bateman, 54, explained what would make her want to hang out with each of her co-stars, and more.
“I can truly say, honestly, he’s doing good. He needed this rough patch. He needed to experience that. He never has, and I feel like that helped him,” Mary shared of Robert Jr. on the October 7 episode of WWHL, later saying she was loving “being with [her] son on his healing journey.”
Moving on to Lisa, 50, Mary agreed with fellow guest Adam Pally, 43, that her decision to send her assistant to remove her sons’ Fresh Wolf products from Angie Katsanevas’ salon was “unhinged” and a “direct attack.” She also agreed that Angie, 51, was a better businesswoman than Lisa.
Mary then denied Lisa’s suggestion that Angie had to borrow money to go on vacations, saying, “I know it’s not true,” and she admitted she was “still confused” by her poster boards, noting that she didn’t feel they proved she was innocent of the lawsuits against her.
While Mary confirmed that Britani never said anything to her about the messages Jared sent to her, which she spoke of in a season five confessional, she revealed that Jared wasn’t happy they were made public.
“She doesn’t want to talk about that … [But] he sent me a DM and he was mad at me … He’s very sensitive,” she shared, adding that she felt Britani and Jared were not destined to be together.
Also on the live broadcast, during a game in which she was asked to share a reason that she’d hang out with certain castmates, Mary said she’d spend time with Heather Gay, 51, to have a “good time,” with Lisa if she wanted to “hear gossip about everyone,” and with Britani only if it was “an emergency.”
As for Whitney Rose, 39, Mary couldn’t come up with a reason, admitting, “I don’t know what I would hang out with Whitney for.”
One person Mary would be on board with getting together with was Bronwyn.
“I like Bronwyn. She asked me to come to dinner today, [but] I was here,” she shared.
Mary then said that when it came to Bronwyn’s screaming match with Lisa, she had seen the viral screenshot of her smiling amid their fight and recalled thinking, “Get her, Bronwyn!”
Later, while appearing on the WWHL: After Show, as she confirmed she’s returned to the pulpit to preach on occasion, Mary admitted she appreciated the dynamic between Bronwyn and her mom, Muzzy, although they have yet to meet.
“I actually like the way Bronwyn’s mom is. I feel like she’s direct … very, very painfully direct, but I don’t mind it. I could handle it. I feel like I’m used to that,” she explained.
