Ashley Darby hinted that someone reached out to her to share “what I need to know” about Stacey Rusch. The Real Housewives of Potomac star also addressed Mauricio Umansky’s appearance on the show, and revealed how her dating life has changed.
In the new season, Ashley and Gizelle Bryant are constantly accusing Stacey of lying. But Stacey remains unbothered, and some fans point out that every castmate has seemingly been caught in lies throughout the seasons.
On Virtual Reali-Tea, Ashley addressed her friendship with Stacey.
“Even when I see her, I still just want to give her a hug. It’s so weird,” said Ashley. “Because I like her, I do like her. But then just, this b**ch be lying. I just can’t get over it.”
Host Danny Murphy suggested that Stacey tell the truth so that castmates can move on and enjoy her.
“Yes, unless you’re boring and you’re just not interesting and you feel as though in order to be around us and be in our group, then you have to fabricate,” said Ashley. “Just be authentic.”
“There’s someone in D.C. … a girl that I know, and she’s like, ‘I’ve got to tell you, I’ve known Stacy for years. Yada, yada, yada.’ And she wants to tell me what I need to know about her,” Ashley went on. “Not to say I’m going to go per se, but that just lets you know that the streets talk … I get all the tea.”
Ashley suggested that the woman has known Stacey’s lies “through the decades.”
In an interview for Us Weekly, Ashley addressed Mauricio’s involvement in the new season – after a recent trailer suggested his possible romance with Gizelle.
“He’s a smooth cat,” said the star. “That guy is very smooth.”
When asked if Gizelle may have flirted with him, Ashley answered, “I don’t know … I think they have, like, some sort of friendship from before. There’s more there that I don’t even know about.”
But will Kyle Richards be upset by Mauricio’s appearance?
“I don’t think so. I know that Gizelle has made mention of him on her ‘Reasonably Shady’ podcast,” Ashley explained. “I don’t know if the water’s got a little choppy after that with Kyle and Mauricio, but I don’t know where it stands now … I want to know. I’m ready. When the episode airs, I’m gonna dive right into it, because I want to know what’s happening.”
Ashley shared that her dating life has evolved since her fling with Ralph Mastrangelo on Love Hotel.
“Now that I’m actually really dating and I’m officially divorced, I’m a little more serious about it,” shared Ashley, who said she’s still on friendly terms with Ralph despite their split. “I think that was another part of it was when I was dating when I was separated, I was still like, ‘I’m still married, I’m dating to have fun.’ But now that I’m 37, I feel like I’m really ready to actually have a relationship.”
