Margaret Josephs addressed Real Housewives of New Jersey casting rumors, suggesting it could still go in “any direction.” But she also hinted she won’t put herself in a “dangerous situation” with someone in Teresa Giudice’s family.
Earlier this year, Teresa made up with her brother, Joe Gorga, and his wife, Melissa Gorga. Reports then surfaced that Teresa, Melissa, and Dolores Catania will be asked back next season, while Margaret is getting the boot.
Around that time, a strange video seemingly showed Teresa’s husband, Luis Ruelas, in a hoodie as he yelled offensive insults at the camera. Luis later shared that the video was AI.
On Ana Quincoces and Ace Fanning‘s Reality Court podcast, Margaret addressed the casting rumors.
“I’ll put it this way … there’s been no phone calls from Bravo. They have not solidified the cast,” said Margaret, via @realhousewivesofwestchester on Instagram. “There’s a lot of rumors out there. Nothing has been solidified. I think it could go in any direction.”
“I cannot put myself in a dangerous situation, I will say that,” she continued. “And I do not feel comfortable being around certain people — and I’m not talking about Teresa, but I am talking about certain people that she’s related to.”
Margaret also spoke to Teresa and Joe’s reconciliation.
“They [have] made up. They’re family members,” said Margaret, via @therealhousewiveszone on Instagram. “And I think that they came to a resolution that, you know, they wanted to make up. I don’t even know what else to say. I guess that’s what it was, I think.”
“Do you think there’s any motivation behind making up other than just family?” asked Ace.
“I think the timing was interesting,” Margaret answered. “It was fortuitous and serendipitous. But, you know what, Joe and Teresa are a brother and sister … I’m sure they only have each other. So I’m sure they did miss each other.”
Later on, Margaret addressed Teresa’s marriage to Luis.
“I think she wants to make her husband happy. I think it’s probably easier on her — that’s my opinion. I think, you know, she’s a team player for her family. And I think it makes life a lot easier if everybody gets along,” said Margaret. “She’s a very, very good wife.”
The Real Housewives of New Jersey is still on hiatus.
