In the City season 2 is experiencing some casting changes.

Just a day after it was reported that Amanda Batula will not be featured as a full-time cast member on the sophomore season, Reality Blurb can exclusively report that Carl Radke has filmed for the upcoming second season of the Bravo series.

Fans of In The City have always wondered why Carl isn’t on the show as he is a staple on Summer House.

As fans know, Carl’s friends and Summer House costars Kyle Cooke and Lindsay Hubbard are on In The City. And despite Carl having the storyline of opening up his ‘Soft Bar’ cafe, he was not cast on the show’s first season.

Reality Blurb exclusively spoke to an insider who exclusively confirmed Carl has filmed for season two.

“Carl taped for In The City recently,” an insider shared. “He is hoping to be on the show more and will film as much as they’ll have him.”

“He’d ideally like to be full time,” the insider added.

So why was Carl not initially cast on the show?

According to the source, Carl was not initially made a part of the show “most likely due to him not having a girlfriend.”

Earlier this year, Carl spoke out about his absence on the show as he explained why he felt he wasn’t cast.

“They were really focused, it seems like, on the next chapter. [People who are] married, or you have a child, or whatever’s going on. Less single people,” Carl said back in April on the Morgan Pop Talks podcast.

“It was more of the couples and the inner dynamics of living in Manhattan. So that wasn’t necessarily where I fit in at this point,” he added. “Yes, launching a business in Brooklyn, all those things might be interesting, but who knows if there’s a season two? I would love to be a part of it. But if they don’t want me to be, I’m still going to cheer and show up for everything they asked me to. I’m so proud to be a part of this network.”

On Friday, Variety reported that Amanda “isn’t expected to return as a full-time cast member — though she could eventually film scenes with Kyle.”

For the time being, Bravo has yet to announce when ‘In the City’ season 2 will premiere.
