Jassi Rideaux shared more details behind allegations that she tried to record castmates in phone calls. The Real Housewives of Potomac star revealed what wasn’t shown, and she hinted at “proof.”
In part two of the reunion, Stacey Rusch accused Jassi of recording phone calls while speaking to her co-stars. Dr. Wendy Osefo, Angel Massie, and Keiarna Stewart seemed to back her up.
After the reunion aired, Jassi addressed the allegations on X.
“When I heard ‘this phone call is being recorded,’ I was the one who asked Stacey what that was and immediately told her not to say anything,” wrote Jassi. “I asked if it was her phone [and] she said no and asked if it was mine. I checked, realized it was my phone, and turned it off right away.”
“Proof was there and didn’t air! Not a single one of them have ever said anything that would warrant me to record them,” she added in another post. “It’s weird and that was not their TRUE response at the reunion — they were on MUTE when I proved Angel knew she was on speaker! Per Wendy and Stacey’s request.”
In a comment, a fan wrote, “Jassi we know they will edit to make you look crazy!”
Jassi responded, “Crazy as hell … that was not the response [and] I’m very confused the art of TV 📺 but very concerning.”
At one point, Jassi reiterated what didn’t air.
“The part that wasn’t shown is what actually happened,” she said. “Wendy and Stacey were muted when Angel acknowledged she knew she was on speaker. I won’t accept false or defamatory claims being made about me to create a narrative.”
Another fan asked why she was accused of recording conversations with Wendy and Stacey.
“When people don’t have anything real to say, they attack your character,” she replied. “The ‘she records calls’ narrative was just a way to make me look strange and turn others against me [as it’s] easier to build alliances when you try to make someone unlikeable.”
New episodes of The Real Housewives of Potomac air on Thursday nights on Bravo.
