Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi reacted to the U.S.-Israeli military operation in Iran, sharing that her “tears will not stop.” The Valley: Persian Style star also addressed “red flags” with her co-star, Sky Askari.

Last week, the U.S. and Israel launched strikes to target Iran’s senior leaders, military sites, and missile infrastructure. Golnesa’s parents came to the U.S. from Iran, where many of her co-stars were also born.

On March 1, Golnesa addressed the recent military action.

“As an Iranian, this moment feels impossible to hold. Wanting freedom. Fearing war,” she wrote on Instagram. “Hoping for change. Fearing the cost. Knowing that political decisions are made by a few… and suffered by millions. Praying for the people – always the people – who will pay first and most.”

In her caption, the star added, “My heart is with you, Iran! My tears will not stop. My fears will not rest. My excitement is unexplainable. But above all, my strength has grown and my dreams of a new Iran seem more possible.”

“I know my aunt was NOT killed for no reason! She fought along with millions and she gave her life so that one day I can walk hand in hand with my son down the streets of Iran,” she added. “Thank you, khaleh Maryam. Thank you to all of you most amazing Iranians who never gave up the fight for freedom. See you soon, Iran. See you soon.”

In an interview for Virtual Reali-Tea, Golnesa and Tanin discussed their co-star, Sky, amid her falling out with Tanin.

“For me, it’s hurtful. It’s disappointing,” said Tanin of Sky’s controversial actions throughout the season.

“To say the least,” Golnesa added.

“Because for me, it’s different,” Tanin went on. “It’s not just a show. Like, you’re losing a family member.”

Golnesa recalled being “jealous” of Tanin and Sky’s relationship before their falling out.

“I was jealous because, before [Sky] even came in the picture, it was like I had a little bit more time with [Tanin], and [she and Tanin] just linked up and I never saw my girl again,” said Golnesa. “So I was jealous of that friendship.”

Golnesa was then asked if she noticed any “red flags” with Sky. “Yeah, about 20 years ago,” she answered. “[I have] pictures to go along with it. Very many photographs. Talk about timeline, receipts. I have the pictures. [Tanin] has them now, too. And not just her. Her husband, too, honey. They weren’t together. She was… I’m not going there.”

“We should move on to the next subject,” said Tanin.
