Crystal Kung Minkoff reacted to a report that her former co-star, Dorit Kemsley, is facing a potential foreclosure on her $6.5 million house in Encino, California, and hasn’t “paid her mortgage since September.” Crystal said it’s a “long time” not to pay, and she revealed how castmates receive their salaries.

In the new season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Kyle Richards seemed wary as Dorit paid thousands of dollars on a shopping trip. Dorit, however, suggested that it’s none of Kyle’s business.

On her Humble Brag podcast, Crystal addressed Dorit’s potential foreclosure.

“It says she faces foreclosure,” said Crystal, via @housewivesfromahousewife on Instagram, “so she’s in pre-default. But she owes $900,000. She hasn’t paid her mortgage since September.”

“We’re not talking like two months. It’s a long time, since September,” she went on. “And the show has been out, so [I’m] trying to do the math…”

Crystal then revealed how payments work on RHOBH.

“We get paid — this is a little [behind the scenes] of how the show works — you get paid in installments as the show airs,” she explained. “So while you’re filming, you don’t really get any money.”

According to Crystal, this means Dorit is “currently getting a paycheck” each month, because the show is still airing. “But it’s not $900,000,” she added.

Earlier this week, alum Teddi Mellencamp shared her own reaction to Dorit’s reported financial situation.

“No wonder the girls are concerned,” stated Teddi on the Two Ts in a Pod podcast. “You don’t know your finances in a marriage.”

“[And] when you go through Dorit’s businesses, we haven’t heard anything about her wedding dress line [for example],” she went on. “We haven’t heard anything about Buca di Beppo. We haven’t heard anything about Beverly Beach. So any of the things that she could be generating income from other than the show.”

Teddi’s cohost, Dolores Catania, chimed in, “What have you been doing with your money all this time? Have you been spending it? Have you not saved it? You’ve been making your own money for a long time. Did you spend your own money? … I’d rather do without.”

New episodes of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills air on Thursday nights on Bravo.
