The Real Housewives of Miami going on a pause shocked many fans, as they weren’t sure why the popular franchise was going on a hiatus.

Alexia Nepola, one of the stars of the show, recently pinpointed the one reason she believes the show was paused.

In an exclusive interview with Page Six, Alexia said, “All these Bravo fans need to watch our show. Because it’s always like, ‘Oh my God, we love your show.’ Our show’s so popular, but where are these Bravo fans? We need them! We need them to watch our show because apparently our ratings were not that high and that’s why we’re on a pause – for now. But our life continues.”

Marysol Patton was also interviewed and shared a similar sentiment.

“To me, it doesn’t make any sense because everywhere I go when I travel, people know who we are,” she shared. “They know me, buy me a cockie, send me a cockie, the bartender’s like, ‘Can I get you a cockie?'”

“Everybody knows us, they watch it. Hispanic people from all over the world are like, ‘Oh my God, we’re so excited –  you represent Latinos,'” she continued. “And then to hear that the viewership was low doesn’t make sense.”

Alexia added that the “ratings don’t reflect” what the show’s “popularity is.”

“So to those Bravo fans and people that love our show, please continue to watch and support us because we need that if you want to see us back on TV,” she elaborated.

Andy Cohen recently said he doesn’t want the show to remain on pause and seemed hopeful filming could resume at some point in the not-too-distant future.

“Andy loves ‘Miami,'” Alexia claimed. “It’s a city that everybody loves. But for whatever reason, I don’t know if the timing was wrong last season – our show was in the summer, which is a difficult time of the year to actually watch the show live. So I think that influenced a lot. And you know what? We’re hoping that sooner than later we’ll come back because I feel like ‘Miami,’ the cameras should always be up.”

Reality Blurb previously spoke to an insider who dished on why the show was really paused, noting it partially had to do with Todd Nepola‘s lawsuit against Bravo.

“Todd fired off his lawsuit, things were obviously tense, but at least Alexia wasn’t with him,” a source previously shared. “Once she got back with Todd, Bravo had choices to make. They clearly couldn’t film with someone who had an active lawsuit against the network, and, while he may not have filmed, it would seem sort of like a conflict of interest to film with her IF he was suing.”

Todd ended up dropping the lawsuit, but the insider explained there were still “not the warmest sentiments” there and that this was “definitely a factor in RHOM being put on pause.”

“Another issue was the cast and the tensions between them,” they added. “Obviously, Todd pulling the trigger to sue angered a lot of the other cast members, as it put them in an awkward spot with Alexia.”

RHOM was also trying to add some fresh blood to the mix, which the source noted was “not working out.” This left the network in a spot where they “couldn’t figure out ultimately what to do.”

“At the end of the day, this is a true shame, as the last reunion was clearly one of the most iconic there ever was,” they said. “EVERYONE was discussing the Haitian mortician line Adriana used for WEEKS, and the fans are up in arms about the show not coming back right now. Hopefully, this truly will be a PAUSE and NOT a cancellation and Bravo will see the light, ‘feel the heat,’ and bring the women back.”
