Bravolebs are no strangers to tax issues, and today, it’s been reported that The Valley star Brittany Cartwright is battling a $500K tax bill.

Rather than ignore it, though, Brittany is said to be working hard to clear it up.

According to TMZ, who obtained court documents, Brittany’s name appeared on the California Franchise Tax Board’s semiannual “Top 500 Delinquencies” list.

The list keeps track of California’s largest outstanding personal tax debts over $100K.

Specifically, the document claims Brittany owes a whopping $463,632.12.

Brittany is responding, and she insists the money owed is related to an old issue from her previous tax filings.

He also noted Brittany’s 2019 taxes mistakenly reported “phantom income and tax” under her name.

Christopher said he’s working directly with California’s Franchise Tax Board to correct the problem, and he stated the agency is agreeing to place a hold on the account while Brittany shares proof she does not owe the money in question.

Money issues aside, Brittany recently opened up on something else bothering her — body shamers.

“It’s been really hard lately,” Brittany said on When Reality Hits, via Vanderpod Recaps on Instagram. “I’ve noticed it so much more recently. Looking back on the first couple of episodes of The Valley, I had definitely gained weight. I’ve lost weight since we filmed this season.”

Brittany claimed her divorce from Jax Taylor and the stress from it had an impact on her weight in ways she didn’t show off on the show, leading some fans to potentially not understand her turmoil.

“I’m still working on losing weight. But the body shaming and everything has just been so intense this year. I don’t understand it. I feel like I’m nice to everybody. I don’t know why people are attacking me so hard,” she added.

In addition to going through fluctuations in her weight, Brittany injured her arm last year, which got in the way of her regular fitness routine.

“I am dieting … I’ve already lost eight pounds since you guys even saw me on Watch What Happens Live,” she stated.

Brittany has also undergone a mommy makeover since taping for The Valley‘s third season, and she claims she currently has a “flat stomach” and “awesome boobs.”

“I’m going to come out like [Ariana Madix] at the reunion this year, and you guys are going to be like, putting your foot in your mouth,” she elaborated.
