An influencer claimed that she “almost got sued” by Rachel Zoe after calling her “Bernie Madoff in a caftan.” The content creator also revealed why she thinks Rachel “went so hard” on her “divorce storyline” this season.
On the latest season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Rachel opened up about her divorce from Rodger Berman, the father of her two sons. Some fans criticized how the famous fashion designer let her kids be filmed as they discussed the painful divorce, though others praised her authenticity.
“I almost got sued by Rachel Zoe a couple of years ago,” alleged influencer Meredith Lynch in an Instagram video. “Why did I almost get sued? Well, firstly, I called her Bernie Madoff in a caftan. She didn’t like that.”
“But really, at the end of the day, it was because I was exposing the fact that her subscription box company allegedly was not paying their vendors,” Meredith went on. “This is the storyline that she hopes never surfaces on Bravo, because it’s really bad. And I have a ton of receipts. But anyway, I wasn’t as well versed in social media at the time. And so when she sent her lawyers after me, it turned into a whole thing.”
She called Rachel “a little scary.”
“I do think one of the reasons she went so hard on the Rodger divorce storyline this year is so no one would bring up this storyline,” she added, “because it will come out eventually and it’s bad — [not] so much that she tried to sue me, but the things that her company was doing.”
Meredith said the whole story was “entertaining.”
On BravoTV.com, a cast bio addressed how Rachel would showcase her “new freedom” in the season.
