Drama surrounding women on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives seems to follow them even after they leave the show.
Demi Engemann, 32, who hasn’t appeared on the show since season four, recently found herself having to publicly comment on an accusation that she was cheating on her husband, Bret Engemann.
The drama began when a podcast clip of Jessi Draper, 34, being interviewed on the Cheers With Avery podcast was posted.
When asked what was going on with Demi, Jessi stated, “As of right now, I think she’s like on okay terms with some of the girls, like I think it’s just cordial, but never again for me. Like, I think it’s very convenient that like right now she’s like commenting a lot of things because I’m dating Marciano. And I think it’s just really convenient that she’s like, ‘Oh, see, Jessi’s a liar.'”
“Last night she commented something like, ‘She’s the fakest b*tch I’ve ever met,'” Jessi added. “And I’m like, you left the show like a year ago, I think it’s time to move on. Like, for me at least, I’m just like, I’m happy, I hope you’re happy, let’s just like stop. So, that’s just how I feel, is I’m just like, I know my truth.”
On the clip that was posted, Chase McWhorter, who was one of the main players involved in the swinging scandal that kicked off the show in season one, commented.
“Demi still cheats on Bret like it’s a part-time job btw,” he wrote.
Demi replied on another Instagram post that shared Chase’s comment.
“Things I’ve never done,” she stated. “1. Cheated on Bret. 2. Taken anything Chase McWhorter says seriously.”
As of now, Chase has yet to respond to what Demi said; however, given the fact that there’s always drama surrounding the SLOMW world, it’s likely only a matter of time until he does.
