Captain Lee Rosbach addressed his unaired fights with producers on Below Deck, and revealed his line in the sand with production.

Lee was the first captain of the Below Deck franchise, though he hasn’t returned to the show since his exit after season 10, when he had to leave the boat for a medical emergency. At the time, he was replaced by Captain Sandy Yawn, though Captain Kerry Titheradge ended up filling the spot permanently.

In a recent video shared by Cameo Reality TV on TikTok, Captain Lee addressed his unaired fights with producers.

“I can assure you that all the drama when I was captain wasn’t contrived, wasn’t scripted, and there was more drama that could’ve been filmed between me fighting with directors and producers than anything else,” he said. “Because I just would not commit to doing anything [that wasn’t] safe. It had to be safe for the boat, much less the people on board. And it couldn’t be illegal.”

“And I said, ‘Meet that criteria, and I’ll do my very best to accommodate whatever you want to do. But other than that, it’s not going to happen,'” he shared.

Last month, Lee gave insight into how much money guests pay for a charter.

“The guests you see on the show, they get a very discounted rate,” stated Lee at the time on Cameo. “Because usually a boat like Saint David, the one I last captained, was $350,000 a week, plus food, and another 30% for that, and alcohol, plus fuel, plus dockage, plus, plus, plus. And 20 percent for the tip.”

“Unless you wanted to tip 25 or 30 [percent], which did happen on occasion,” he continued. He said the total cost for one week might be about “half a million.”

Many fans miss Captain Lee on the show, and Lee himself has said that he’s willing to come back. As of now, however, it looks like Bravo is set on Captain Kerry, who’s filled the position since 2024. But Lee has returned to Bravo for various guest spots, including giving commentary with Kate Chastain.
