The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Camille Grammer reacted to the report that Next Gen LA was put on pause, as Next Gen ATL was given the green light. The LA and Atlanta versions are spinoff projects of Next Gen NYC, which centers around the lives of young people living in Manhattan, some of whom are the kids of celebrities.
Camille’s daughter Mason Grammer was allegedly attached to the potential spinoff in Los Angeles, along with Kyle Richards‘ daughter Sophia Umansky, and Heather Dubrow‘s son Nick Dubrow.
According to Deadline, Bravo has renewed Next Gen NYC for another season, and they greenlit Next Gen ATL. The season two premiere of Next Gen NYC was Bravo’s number one next-day episode ever after a week of viewing on Peacock. This represented a series high of three million viewers in that seven-day window across platforms, which was up 86 percent compared to last season’s premiere, according to NBCU.
As of now, Bravo hasn’t confirmed which co-stars from Next Gen NYC will return next season, though production has started. The network also has not announced which stars will be on Next Gen ATL, though the spinoff is expected to follow the original show. Next Gen ATL will showcase a new generation of stars, some of whom have ties to celebrities. The castmates will be shown juggling their family dynamics, friendships, and careers.
The outlet said Next Gen LA seems to now be on hold.
Soon after, Camille reacted to the report that it’s on pause.
First, a fan wrote in a comment on Instagram, via @queensofbravo, “Next Gen LA not picked up? Or has that already been announced? I thought they had already filmed.”
Camille responded, “It tested better in focus groups than Atlanta so I don’t know what happened.”
Next Gen LA has been talked about for a while now, though it seems the needle hasn’t moved. According to a report, Next Gen NYC’s Riley Burruss is moving to the Atlanta spinoff, while the original show will be adding several newbies.
