Very sad news to report today as Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump’s brother, Mark Vanderpump, has passed away.
According to reports, Mark died on April 30 at the age of 59 from a suspected drug overdose.
The Daily Mail just broke the news, stating it is currently unknown if it was an accidental or deliberate overdose.
Mark, a successful DJ in the UK in his own right, was discovered dead at his home in Gloucestershire, England.
Lisa, 57, is reportedly extremely devastated over the death of her brother Mark who also happens to be her only sibling. She released the following statement to the Daily Mail –
“This has come as a shock to us all. My brother and I had connected the day before this tragedy and I was completely unprepared for this. He was my only sibling and I am shocked and saddened by his passing. I am trying to be supportive to his two young sons that he has left behind, and help them get through this tragedy. We appreciate your consideration in this private and extremely difficult family time.”
The Vanderpump Rules star hasn’t been seen in public since her brother’s passing and a look at her Twitter page shows her last update was on April 30. Lisa is now planning to travel to the UK soon for her brother’s funeral.
Lisa and Mark are said to have had a very close relationship which is evident by the photo below that Mark shared on his Twitter with the caption: “Here with my gorgeous sister @LisaVanderpump celebrating her successes @pumprestaurant love you.”
Mark was quite the quirky character and become a bit of a playboy following his divorce after 22 years of marriage. He also appeared in a few UK reality shows which we wrote about earlier this year.
A family source close to Mark reveals he had a bit of hard time coping following his divorce.
“After 22 years of marriage, Mark was living a very colourful life until it all sadly went wrong,” the insider revealed.
