Last week’s episode of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After was explosive as we watched Chantel Everett’s brother, River Everett, get into a physical altercation with her husband, Pedro Jimeno.
Not only did we see fists and drinks flying, but we also witnessed the kicking of the table (Teresa Giudice style!) courtesy of Pedro! Today, River is now speaking out about the shameful fight via an Instagram Live video session with his followers.
First, River tells his side of the story of how the fight got started.
“Pedro was [pointing his fingers] and he told my parents to shut up. And I said you can’t disrespect my parents like that,” explained River. “He stood up and I stood up. People are saying it looks like I threw something, but from where I stood up, I couldn’t even see Pedro. All I did was hit the lamp because I was getting frustrated. And when I’m frustrated, I don’t want to take it out on nobody else.”
He also reveals that it wasn’t his intention to fight with Pedro.
“To be honest, I’m mad at myself because I don’t like getting out of character like that,” said River. “I mean, I don’t regret it but I’m mad at myself because nobody should get me out of character.”
Finally, a fan asked River if he landed any punches on Pedro and he responded: “You saw him holding his lip. I must have hit something.”
As for Pedro, he has yet to speak out on his fight with Chantel’s family. Chantel however broke her silence, thanking fans for their support.
On Monday, she wrote: “Thank you to my 100K followers! I really appreciate the kind words of encouragement that the majority of you offer. I wont block the rest of you so you can keep peaking!!!”
