90 Day Fiancé star Jonathan Rivera rang in the New Year without his wife Fernanda Flores by his side.
Jonathan, 33, took to his Instagram page on December 31st to share a photo of himself spending time with his family in Chicago and when his followers asked why Fernanda, 19, was missing, he decided to unload about their marital problems.

First, he shared that Fernanda had chosen to leave him to pursue a modeling career.
“No she’s in Houston. She wanted to pursue a modeling career in Chicago. Decided to leave and realized she couldn’t do it on her own. She said MANY things you can’t take back that I won’t mention, you’ll have to trust me when I tell you,” Jonathan responded. A screenshot of his post is below.
When another follower asked if their relationship was ever real, Jonathan insisted that it was.
“Everything we had was real,” he wrote. “Eventually she hated where we lived. I tried many [times] to give her everything she ever wanted but it wasn’t enough. She decided to leave… left me on the airplane in Chicago amongst many other things. I decided to spend the rest of the time with my family. When she realized her lifestyle was going to be different, she wanted to apologize and asked me to forgive her. I haven’t.”
Jonathan also explained why he was choosing to go public with his marital problems with Fernanda.
“I am not one for drama, I prefer to remain private but I’m not okay with my spouse airing our laundry to get my attention. Deleting me, deleting [our] pictures then putting them back. I mean come on,” wrote Jonathan.
As for Fernanda, she appears to be mostly staying mum on the possibility of a divorce, although she did agree with one of her followers three days ago who stated: “Newlyweds shouldn’t be apart. They should be together working things out. A marriage is always a work in progress. It’s never ending.”
Fernanda wrote back: “Agree!”
She also shared a cryptic post on Instagram yesterday, as she posted a photo with Jonathan on their wedding day with the caption: “I promise to be true to you in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health. I will love you and honour you all the days of my life” -He said.”
It appears she might have been taking a shot at Jonathan for choosing not to work on their marriage. A screenshot of her Instagram post is below.
