Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member Brandi Glanville is suing her landlord.
Apparently, even reality stars have to deal with difficult landlords! After alleging that she and her two sons, Mason Cibrian, 16, and Jake Cibrian, 12, fell ill after being exposed to mold that developed in their Los Angeles condo, the ex-Beverly Hills housewife is blaming her landlords for ignoring the problem.
According to documents obtained by The Blast, Brandi is suing her landlords for $1.5 million after alleging they failed to fix a roof leak in her Los Angeles condo that caused parts of her home to grow mold. The reality star said that she made management aware of the “emergency and fairly bad leak.” She told them several times that there was an accompanying “moldy odor.”
The Brandi Glanville Unfiltered host also claims that she and her eldest son, Mason, began “experiencing adverse physical symptoms when inside the unit.”
In the lawsuit, Brandi explains that the landlords of her 16-unit complex were made aware of the dangerous conditions in her condo, “some of which were directly affecting the health” of her and her children.
Due to the alleged condition of her unit, Brandi was forced to move to a hotel along with her two boys “as a result of those adverse physical symptoms,” according to official documents.
The Bravo star strongly believes that her landlords “intentionally failed to make timely repairs and proper repairs,” and that they “ignored the recommendations of their own professional mold consultants.”
The documents state that due to this alleged negligence, the landlords “consciously disregarded Brandi and her children’s health and [safety].”
Brandi shares her two sons with ex-husband Eddie Cibrian, who is now married to country singer LeAnn Rimes, a relationship the reality star has finally come to terms with over the years. Eddie also dated Vanderpump Rules‘ Scheana Marie back when he was still legally married to the former Beverly Hills housewife.
