Andy Cohen and the Vanderpump Rules cast filmed the season eight reunion on Thursday.
Following the virtual taping, Andy opened up about how things went with the reality stars. Then, he admitted that he actually had to pause production before it was complete so he didn’t miss a very important moment that was airing on television that same night.
“I taped the Vanderpump Rules reunion on Thursday,” Andy shared with his listeners on Andy Cohen Live on Monday. “I might be breaking a little news there. It was a great reunion. It was really good.”
While the taping of the reunion went well, Andy had to interrupt the taping just before 9 p.m. because he didn’t want to miss his friend Anderson Cooper‘s baby announcement.
“Anderson had said he was announcing Wyatt’s birth at the end of his show and he said it was gonna be around the end of the 8 o’clock hour. And we were shooting the reunion and we were just winding it up and I was texting the executive producer, Doug Ross,” Andy recalled.
According to Andy, he informed his producer that he had something important to watch on television.
“He goes, ‘There’s still some stuff I need you to shoot.’ Pickups, they’re called. And I was like, ‘Doug, there’s something I have to watch on TV.’ I texted him. I’m sure he thought I was being… There’s all these people waiting for me. I just felt like such a moron,” Andy laughed.
“I’m like, what does he think that I mean, ‘I have to go watch something on TV.’ Like, that something’s more important to watch on TV than doing this reunion?” he continued.
As fans of Andy well know, he and Anderson, a CNN host, have been close friends for many years.
In more Pump Rules news, some of the cast members also took to their social media pages to share their reunion looks. Below are some pics of Stassi Schroeder, Katie Maloney, and Raquel Leviss.
