Scheana Shay is fighting back after it was suggested on last week’s episode of Vanderpump Rules that she had acted inappropriately towards Stassi Schroeder‘s 15-year-old brother, Nikolai Schroeder.
After being seated near Nikolai at Stassi and Beau Clark‘s surprise engagement party at Lisa Vanderpump‘s house in Beverly Hills and chatting with him during the event, Scheana was labeled as “creepy” for comments made about younger men in a cast confessional. However, as she’s since revealed, the footage shown was highly misleading.
On Twitter, after a fan suggested Scheana’s “creepy” confessional made her believe she may have actually been flirting with Nikolai, Scheana set the record straight.
“‘About it’??? It was most definitely NOT about Nikolai,” Scheana replied. “You ppl are disgusting for thinking this. He’s a kid I’ve watched grow up. How the hell else do you talk to a teenage boy at a dinner table? Should I have ignored him?”
Scheana also told another fan who suggested Pump Rules production had done Scheana dirty this season that the confessional footage was about something completely unrelated to Nikolai.
“Of course it was about something else. And I’m sorry, is Nikolai 21?? No,” she wrote.
Another fan said they were “pissed” that the show would imply such a thing about Scheana.
“I wonder if when they asked her what the youngest she would date if she had any idea what they were implying? Were they talking about the kid [and] then they asked her or separate interviews?” the fan wondered.
In response, Scheana revealed details about what led up to her comments about younger men.
“Last summer there was a 21 year old (and looked way older) who I met at a bar and we went hung a few times. That’s why I said that,” Scheana explained. “Had ZERO to do w Nikolai. That kid is like a little bro to me.”
As her tweets continued, many fans wanted to know if Scheana had been in touch with her production team in regard to the insinuations they made about her on last week’s episode.
“If any of the boys, ANY, had been shown in a similar scene with a teenage girl so much backlash would’ve happen. Pretty gross,” one person tweeted, tagging the Pump Rules production team in their message.
“Ya my PR team is not happy!” Scheana replied.
While Scheana was highly upset about the events of last week’s show, she received some support from her co-star, Stassi, amid the drama, which she seemed to appreciate.
“Girl, you were harmless. And watching that scene had me rolling. Whoever’s saying it’s inappropriate is a weirdo,” Stassi said.
“Thank YOU!” Scheana responded. “I was off twitter for a week and signed on today and got fired up.”
