‘RHONJ’ Melissa Gorga Addresses Joe's Confrontation With Gia, Thinks Gia Has “Better Things To Do” Than Get Involved in Drama, Plus Where They Stand

Gia Giudice is taking on a new role for Real Housewives of New Jersey. The 21-year-old is no longer a child, and she’s getting involved in family fights.

Her main beef is with Uncle Joe Gorga, who recently spoke ill of her father. In the latest episode, Gia confronted Joe about the comments, which caused a wild argument on her mother’s property.

During an interview for Page Six, Melissa discussed Joe’s heated interaction with Gia. “I always feel bad for [my husband] Joe in this situation,” she said. “Because I think everyone knows, it goes without saying, that he dies for them. He loves them so much.”

She then explained, “He’s always put in a tough position because I think he’s never gonna win the conversation about their father. And I think he knows that, but he just gets so insulted when they don’t see that he didn’t do anything to hurt the situation. He doesn’t ever cause it. They just see it one way. They see it their father’s way.”

“But it always hurts Joe,” added Melissa. “And he’s always just put in that seat where he just has to sit back and take it, because you can’t correct children about their parents.”

She admitted “there’s a lot of hard feelings there which everyone is still working through, but I think we’re past it now. I think we’ve gotten it all out . . . This past year we’ve all gotten it off our chests.”

In the interview, Melissa was asked how she felt about Gia’s involvement in RHONJ arguments. “She probably has better things to do, to be honest, than ever be involved in her mom’s friend group drama,” she said.
