Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Garcelle Beauvais has a lot to be excited about these days. The model and actor is spilling the tea in new interviews and on social media about her upcoming role in the Lifetime movie Caught in His Web, which is centered around cyberbullying. Plus, she shares details about where she stands with her RHOBH co-star and friend-turned-frenemy, Lisa Rinna, and tension with Erika Jayne.

Appearing on ABC’s The View, Garcelle gushed that she was absolutely thrilled to be working on the new movie. She shared about how her sons played a huge role in her decision to take on the role, and she talked about how she had been wanting to work with Lifetime for quite some time.

“Absolutely, 100%,” she said of her twin son’s influence. “I’ve been wanting to work with Lifetime and when this project came to me it made perfect sense. My kids live on their phones, they live on their computers. I mean, we all do essentially nowadays.”

Garcelle continued, “And when I read the script it just resonated with me. It [cyberbullying and online manipulation] can happen to any of us, right? And it’s scary.”

On a more serious note, with Garcelle being the first Black woman to be cast on RHOBH, she was asked whether Bravo has stepped up to the plate to be more inclusive in their TV shows.

“Yes, definitely. Bravo has stepped up and brought more diversity across the board on all their franchises,” she said. “But being the first of anything is always scary. But I felt a pressure that I didn’t want people to have a preconceived notion of who I was going to be. And I really wanted to be myself. I am not an angry Black woman, and I did not want to portray that… I came in as myself and I think it resonated with a lot of people.”

She also made a great remark about diversity, saying, “It’s great to have diversity because we’re in every zipcode, are we not?!”

Of course, the interview inevitably led to the hosts grilling Garcelle about the new season of RHOBH and the drama surrounding the unfollowing of Erika that apparently “caused World War III.”

“Well, let me just say this the new season is drama-filled, glamorous fun, all the things Real Housewives of Beverly Hills shows,” she said.

As for her take on the reaction fans had to her unfollowing Erika, Garcelle had this to say.

“I never realized that unfollowing someone would be breaking news,” she laughingly said. “You know, we had a rough start to the season and I, uh, didn’t want to follow her anymore and that’s where it all went awry.”

Also in the hot seat is her friendship with Lisa. The last two seasons of RHOBH have been a source of contention between the two, with Garcelle taking issue with Lisa’s treatment of their mutual friend and then-castmate Denise Richards over the Brandi Glanville affair rumors. Garcelle also took issue with Lisa blindly supporting Erika in the next season.

However, there now seems to be little-to-no drama between the castmates as Garcelle recently appeared alongside Lisa at Andy Cohen’s Hollywood Walk of Fame induction ceremony. She even posted photos of the two of them on her Instagram Page.

“Yeah, we’re doing good. You know, it is what it is,” she told Us Weekly.

As for whether their relationship remains intact throughout the upcoming season of RHOBH, Garcelle coyly said, “My lips are sealed.”

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 12 has just wrapped filming and is expected to air sometime later this year.
