Former Below Deck Mediterranean chief stew, Hannah Ferrier’s time on the high seas may have ended abruptly, but she’s been pulling some strings in the background of the Below Deck franchise for a while now, specifically the new installment of the series, Below Deck Down Under.
Captain Jason Chambers recently spoke to E! News and revealed Hannah played a significant role in his decision to join the show. The two already knew each other because of how small the yacht industry is. So, when he found out he was up for the job, he immediately called Hannah up for advice.
Hannah gave him words of encouragement though Hannah says people thought otherwise after her experience on Below Deck Med.
“It’s kind of funny,” Hannah told the outlet, “Because a lot of people would think with how things ended on the show that I would be like, ‘Don’t do it!'”
After that conversation, Hannah got a call from her former castmate, Aesha Scott, when she discovered she would be serving as a chief stew on the show.
“We spent a lot of time on the phone,” Hannah said. “Obviously, as a chief, you’ve got a lot of things that make your life easier like schedules and provisioning lists and what you need to set up a boat and all of that, so I would I spent a lot of time kind of compiling all those documentations into a file for her so that her job was going to be as easy as possible.”
Hannah says she just wants Aesha “to succeed,” adding, “She’s a friend of mine, and I think that so often people in life are either jealous or they’re trying to kind of go, ‘Oh, well, I had to do it myself, so you do it yourself too.’ It’s like, ‘No, we’re friends. We need to help each other.'”
I’m glad the two are in such a good place.
Speaking of good places, Hannah’s life has been going in a wonderful direction since leaving Below Deck Med. She has since given birth to a daughter, Ava, and just recently went on her honeymoon after marrying her boyfriend, Josh Roberts.
Hannah recently let her fans in on a peek of her honeymoon taking place in SALA Samui Choengmon Beach Resort on Instagram, adding that her former partying ways are looking much different these days.
“Everyone’s like, ‘Oh, the nightclubs are open!’ Hannah said. “I’m like, ‘Are you f–king kidding me? We have a baby. We don’t want to go to nightclubs. We want to take a nap.'”
