Kim Kardashian has ridden a rollercoaster of drama with her ex-husband Kanye West. The famous rapper is vocal (to say the least) about his dislike for Kim’s new boyfriend, Pete Davidson.
Despite their ongoing feud, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star and her ex-husband must co-parent their four children, Psalm, Chicago, Saint, and North.
During a clip for the upcoming premiere of Hulu’s The Kardashians, Kim explained that her son saw an ad about “unreleased footage” regarding her sex tape with Ray J. After it happened, Kim called Kanye in tears.
Saint, 6, witnessed the ad as he was playing a video game called Roadblox (which lets players chat together). According to Kim, someone sent him a “super inappropriate” message that addressed the “unreleased footage.”
The ad included a meme of Kim’s crying face.
“I almost died when Saint thought it was funny,” Kim expressed to Kanye in the tearful phone call. She also explained in the clip, “The last thing I want as a mother is for my past to be brought up 20 years later … It’s real embarrassing s**t. I need to deal with it, and will deal with it.”
Kim said she would have “died inside” if her son was mature enough to understand the meaning of the joke.
On Sunday, a source told The Sun, “Kim knows that Ray J made other tapes of them together. Some of the footage will be incredibly intimate.” Kim allegedly told her lawyers, “Over my dead body is this happening again.”
In an interview for the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, Kim also revealed that she and Kanye weren’t speaking for eight months after she filed the divorce papers in early 2021: “We went off and on, and we went about eight months without even speaking to each other at the beginning of the divorce.”
“Then we started talking again, and I went to the ‘Donda’ premiere,” she added. “Him and I just took a minute of not talking, and I think in relationships it’ll be like that. I only hope for – I hope we are the co-parenting goals at the end of the day.”
Contemplating her divorce, Kim recalled the memory of her mother’s divorce from Robert, her father.
“I look back, and my mom and dad went through their hard time,” she said. “It took people a minute to readjust, and I’ve seen it all before.”
However, Kim believes she and Kanye are “always family … We’re always gonna have so much love, and we love our kids, and we both love the time we spent together … I think that we’ll always have that and always cherish that, and sometimes it just doesn’t work out for whatever reasons.”
Kim then addressed Kanye’s tirades against Pete. “I never really judge the way someone wants to communicate,” she explained. “Whether it’s the way I would or not, like, I know who he is inside.”
The star added, “I know what he means to say, and I know what he means to express, and that’s the beauty of knowing someone for so many years.”
Perhaps Kim knows the true meaning behind Kanye’s claymation video (in which he buries Pete alive).
