Real Housewives of New Jersey OG, Teresa Giudice, is giving fans an update on her relationships with former costar and friend, Dina Manzo, and RHONY star Ramona Singer after both skipped out on her wedding to Luis Ruelas after being originally slated to attend.
Dina was supposed to be one of Teresa’s bridesmaids, but according to sources, upon learning that the wedding would be filmed for a Bravo special opted out due to not wanting to appear on camera.
Per Page Six via Heavy, the source explained, “Dina has made it clear that she does not want to be on camera, and Teresa is OK with it,” adding that the two are still “as close as ever.”
Teresa confirmed the source’s statements to be true during an October 2022 appearance on the Two T’s in a Pod podcast with Teddi Mellencamp and Tamra Judge, maintaining that she’s okay with Dina not being in attendance and she “totally get[s] it.”
“We’re good, we’re all good, yeah,” the RHONJ star said before continuing, “Once you are on TV and then you aren’t on TV anymore, you don’t want to be in front of the camera. I totally get it. It’s like you’re working, and you don’t want to work. Unless you are getting paid. And the thing is not that she wanted to even get paid, but I get it. And her husband doesn’t want to be on camera. I respect that.”
Speaking to Us Weekly’s Getting Real with the Housewives podcast, Teresa had a different take on RHONY’s Ramona Singer after she accidentally leaked all of Teresa’s wedding information after sharing the invitation on social media and failing to show up for the ceremony or even send a gift in lieu of her attendance. Teresa says Ramona wasn’t “disinvited,” but that she’s “glad” she didn’t come.
“No, she was not disinvited, but then she didn’t come. First, she puts it out there, and then she says she didn’t. Then she didn’t even come to the wedding, and you know what? I’m glad she didn’t,” Teresa said.
Teresa went on to say she didn’t even want to talk about Ramona, calling back to their time on the first season of Real Housewives Ultimate: Girls Trip when Ramona insinuated Teresa was like a “scarecrow” with no brain.
“I don’t even want to talk about her because it’s such a joke for her to do that, it’s kind of embarrassing because, like, who does something like that?” Teresa told the outlet. “I mean, I heard she even showed her bank account on [Instagram], and that’s crazy to me, and then she’s talked about me saying I needed a brain, and I was a scarecrow. I mean, I think it should be the other way around. I mean, if you’re on TV, you don’t show somebody’s invitation.”
She makes a very valid point.
Teresa remains unfazed by the matter as she’s laser-focused on her new project; a podcast titled Namaste B$tches. The cookbook author says she hopes to use the podcast as a platform to help and inspire other women.
“I always hear that from people like how inspiring I am. I’ve helped so many people get through so many hard things in life, like cancer. Just a lot of things that people have told me, and that feel good,” Teresa said. “So, then I’m like, ‘Maybe there was a purpose.’ I would ask God — not to be religious frankly, but I’m Catholic —‘Why did I have to go through this?’ But I guess there was a reason why, God gave me this platform to inspire other women out there.”
