Out of all the cast members that appeared on season 12 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Lisa Rinna has been one of, if not the most, polarizing figures among viewers.
Season 12 saw Lisa and Kathy Hilton go head-to-head after Lisa alleged Kathy had a full-on “meltdown” and made disparaging comments about her sister, Kyle Richards, and fellow castmates alike during a trip to Aspen, Colorado. Many fans have been rallying for Lisa to be fired for her atrocious behavior toward Kathy as well as her past treatment of her former friend and co-star, Denise Richards.
Lisa really got a taste of the backlash while appearing on an “Ask Andy” panel during day one of BravoCon over the weekend as fans mercilessly booed her (though there was some applause as well).
Now, host Andy Cohen is weighing in on the drama and giving behind-the-scenes details that happened prior to the event. During his Radio Andy radio show, Andy detailed a conversation that transpired between Lisa and Erika Jayne.
“I was talking to Erika about it last night before Watch What Happens Live. She said they were about to go on and Erika turned to Rinna and said, ‘You’re going to get booed.’ And Rinna goes, ‘What?’ She goes, ‘You’re about to really get booed, be prepared,’” Andy recalled.
Andy went on to say that he believes Erika knew what was coming due to her own negative experience with audiences and took it upon herself to warn and brace Lisa for the inevitable backlash.
“Erika, I think, maybe got her head around it and helped [Lisa]… and she kind of gave her the tools like, ‘What are you going to do? Like, own it, do something.”
In a now-infamous BravoCon moment, Lisa sashayed onto the RHOBH panel stage and flipped off the audience members.

Following the panel, Andy laughingly recalled how Lisa went into the pressroom and called being booed one of the “highlights” of her career.
“[Lisa] said, ‘In 30 years I’ve never been booed, it was exhilarating.’ And you know what? For someone whose thing is ‘owning it,’ I was like, ‘good for you, man,’” Andy remarked.
