Shep Rose is revealing his car accident in South Africa, which just occurred after he rented a car on his way to a wedding. The Southern Charm star recently made headlines following his dramatic breakup with girlfriend Taylor Ann Green.
On the last season of the Bravo show, Shep encouraged Taylor to quit her job so she could travel the world with him. But after their overseas trip, the couple soon parted ways. The split was addressed in a tense reunion episode, which seemed to imply Shep had an inappropriate encounter with another woman.
On January 2, the star revealed he “foolishly” rented a Jeep in Cape Town, South Africa, “with the expectation of driving it out to wine country” for a wedding.
“Was a little nervous about driving on the left side in a busy city but [I] thought once I got to the highway all would be good,” continued Shep in the caption of his Instagram post.
He added, “2 blocks from the hotel in Cape Town a curb literally came out of nowhere and the left tire hit it rather aggressively. Right away I knew.”
Shep also described the “aftermath,” which involved someone coming to change the tire, “but forgot the jack.”
“Now just returning the car for good and ubering out there,” he said. “You got to read the tea leaves and I think the universe is telling me not to drive on the wrong side of the road.”
