Todd Chrisley Accused of Terror and Violence by Ex-Wife Teresa Terry Amid Prison Sentence, Details Revealed

Todd Chrisley’s ex-wife Teresa Terry alleged terror and violence in their previous marriage. The Chrisley Knows Best star and his current wife, Julie, are now preparing for their prison sentences after getting convicted for fraud.

The couple is scheduled to turn themselves in on January 17, at two separate prisons. Todd is reportedly set to face 12 years while Julie has 7, and they’ll be allowed to communicate while incarcerated.

In divorce documents obtained by Radar, Todd’s first wife, Teresa – the mother of Kyle and Lindsie – alleged there was terror and violence in the home. The exes married in 1990 when he was 21 and she was 19.

About four years later, according to Teresa, the relationship became acrimonious due to Todd’s alleged control.

“He likes to control his environment,” claimed Teresa. “I had two small kids [but at home] everything had to be picture-perfect; your hair always had to be fixed, and you had to be dressed to the 10s … [I] grew tired of being constantly corrected.”

Terry reportedly filed a “prevention of family violence” order against Todd, alleging he’d previously “wielded a knife threatening to kill her,” a few days after he “tore all of her clothes, including her undergarments, from her body and battered her using his closed fist.”

According to Radar, Todd was then ordered to keep 1,000 feet between himself and Teresa, who quickly filed for divorce, claiming she “fears for her life” and needed a restraining order to prevent him from “harassing, harming, [or] vilifying” herself or the children.

Teresa also alleged he was having an affair with his current wife, Julie, as the ex gave dates and locations of their purported meetups.

Todd responded that he “vehemently and categorically denies [treating Teresa] cruelly,” and he obtained joint custody of the children.

“You just cannot imagine how vindictive he can be,” claimed Teresa.
