Katie Maloney clapped back at a fan who questioned her behavior regarding her ex-husband Tom Schwartz. In a recent interview, Katie shared her request that he not hook up with anyone from their group – though viewers now know he kissed Raquel Leviss. Katie suggested Tom humiliated her with this act.
Many Vanderpump Rules viewers are confused by Katie’s actions regarding the breakup given that she instigated it. These fans claim Katie wants to have her cake and eat it too while Tom is still emotionally struggling.
Amid the season premiere, Katie responded to a fan calling out her actions.
“So she wants to divorce him but wants to tell him who he can and cannot kiss,” wrote @mandababy_13 on Instagram, shared by @commentsbybravo. “I don’t think breaking up works that way.”
The star clapped back, “When we are sharing custody of dogs and share mutual best friends, creating boundaries is necessary.”
She went on to say, “I wasn’t telling him what to do. I was saying that it would create a toxic environment and he agreed. We had seen it play out in our friend group a million times before.”
Will Tom and Katie be able to stay friends — or is it simply a pipedream? Only time will tell if the co-stars/exes can mend fences. As of now, it doesn’t seem likely.
